"This is me, as they say in the movies!

I guess this is an open letter to my body…

I’m sorry I don’t see you the way others do, I’m trying and getting there slowly. I have enhanced parts of me, added sparkle, coloured you in and told a story of my life with pictures. I’m learning, I really am. I am the most accepting of you now than I have ever been. Yet, all I see are the flaws, the bits that society tells me aren’t pretty enough, thin enough, too wobbly and dimply. It’s hard to not see.

I don’t give you enough credit for the amazing things you can do; grow a tiny human, protect and nourish while he grows ready for the world. And even then you don’t stop: you carry on feeding and protecting him until your last breath and for that, I’m truly amazed!

So for that I thank you and will one day love you… I promise! X"
