My Body Is My Home

"My body is my home.
I've spent most of my time in my developing body hating it. My breasts are too small. My stomach was too big. My hip dips looked unnatural to me, I wondered why I was the only one who had them. Why were mine so bad?
It wasn't until recently that I saw more models with my same flaws, art with bodies that remind me of mine. I stopped focusing on my flaws.
Now, I realize that there is beauty in my imperfections. The scars across my thighs and the stretch marks that flow from my armpit to my elbow are my bodies way of saying, I've lived.
I keep living.
I remember my worst moments in my scars, and remember I'm still alive and I'm stronger than before."
