My Body Has Changed

"Throughout my teens I struggled with my body – boobs too big and saggy, thighs not thin enough, the endless frustrations of hair removal. In my late twenties I came to terms with it and then in my thirties I became pregnant with twins.
My body has now changed more than I could ever envisage – my abdomen is now so large I haven’t seen my genitalia in months! But it has been fascinating to watch it change and utterly bizarre to feel two people slither and kick inside me.
Pregnancy is not an easy process but I feel strongly that it alone does not make me a parent: a parent is one who cares for a child and has their best interests at heart, regardless of how that child came into being.
I’m definitely far more scared at the thought of raising children than carrying them inside me!"
